Barcelona Airport (Barcelona-El Prat Airport is its full name) is one of the biggest airports in Spain. It’s the main airport serving Catalonia in northeast Spain and is located just 10kms from Barcelona. Other airports in Catalonia include Girona Airport and Reus Airport.

Beyond Barcelona, there’s more of Catalonia to explore. Other beach cities like Sitges and Mataro are easy to reach with a car hire. And away from the coast, the dramatic rock formations of Montserrat Mountain and its monastery are worth a visit. Girona, is another beautiful Catalonian city with a great vibe and foodie scene. It’s about an hour and a half’s drive northwest of Barcelona.
