Our prices include all the following :


    Local sales tax at 17.5% is included in our prices as are all airport taxes, delivery charges and service fees for the airports of Alicante, Murcia, Valencia, Almeria, Malaga, Jerez & Palma Mallorca airport.


    All vehicle insurances like CDW (Collision Damage Waiver) and TW (theft waiver), unlimited third party insurance and basic personal accident insurance for drivers and occupants are included in our prices. With the exception of prestige vehicles (see below), there is no deductable or excess value at all.


    The vehicles insurance has no excess or driver responsibility value at all. *-The only vehicles subject to insurance excesses are the Mercedes C180 & E320 prestige vehicles where a refundable deposit of GBP £1000.00 is payable on collection.

The following items are not included in our prices :


    All vehicles are delivered with a full tank. Fuelling is a “full/empty” system. You will be asked to prepay the fuel value specified by the car rental company for the model supplied. At the end of the hire you simply return the car with as empty a tank as possible. Whatever value of fuel is left in the tank simply goes back to the car rental company.

    The great thing about full/empty fuelling is that since nobody checks your car back in you simply park the vehicle in the indicated area and walk back into check-in to catch your flight. There are no disputes later about the value to be refunded at the end of the rental!


    There is a small charge of EUR 2,00 (apprx £1.40) per day for child seats. We can prebook both child seats and booster seats for all vehicles. Please note that it is essential that child seat requests are included in your reservation from the outset. Please contact your reservations agent at DRIVESPAIN.COM for assistance.


    Extra drivers are chargeable at 1,00 euros per day up to a maximum of 7,00 euros per driver per hire.


    Vehicle keys are chip-coded and are both time-consuming and costly to replace. If you are dumb enough to lose your vehicle key during the hire period you will be asked to pay EUR 120,00 (approx £85.00) to obtain a replacement in addition to any transport costs incurred in providing you with a new car key. Please take good care of the car key!


    Any traffic fines for speeding, illegal parking etc incurred during the rental are your responsibility.

    To make a booking you need to request a quotation from us for the dates, time and type of car that you require. The DRIVESPAIN instanQuote system will send you all the quotes you wish in under 10 minutes every time, 24 hours a day!


    The most common reason for non delivery of our quotes is our own customers entering incorrect e-mail addresses like “aol.co.uk” instead of “aol.com” etc. If in 30 minutes from request you have received no email from us, try again paying special attention to your e-mail address.

    If the problem persists consider trying an alternative e-mail address like a http://www.yahoo.com or http://www.altavista.com or http://www.hotmail.com for an instant free e-mail account. If all else fails, contact us by e-mail for assistance at drivespain@drivespain.com. Please remember that our response time on a manual e-mail request may be between 4 and 16 hours depending on the time that your message reaches us and our office hours.


    Remember you can request as many quotations from us as you wish. They will all arrive (we hope) equally promptly. Before you confirm your reservation, take a moment to think through your requirements. How many people are travelling? How much baggage space is there going to be? A few moments now may avoid fraught negotations on the floor of the arrival hall! We have an excellent working relationship with our suppliers and their staff will always do their absolute best to assist you in the event that you need to pay for a bigger car on arrival but very often this is limited to only a few unbooked vehicles. Getting it right prior to booking is simpler and cheaper!


    Simply return the quote you’re happy with to us by email at drivespain@drivespain.com letting us know how you’d like to pay for the vehicle (the options are shown below under the heading of How to Pay?. If you havn’t done so please let us know your arrival flight number (airport arrivals) or hotel delivery address (if applicable). We’ll get your confirmation back the same day via email!

    All car rental companies, hotels and even airlines have different “public” rates from those they give to high-volume resellers like DRIVESPAIN. If you don’t have a reservation you’ll be asked to pay the higher published tariff on the day of arrival!.

At DRIVESPAIN, we try to adapt to our customers preferences for payment. We MUST know your preferred payment method before we confirm your reservation. Here are your options :


    You can prepay your reservation prior to travel. To do this, request your quotation and return it to us indicating your wish to prepay. We’ll send by return a proforma via e-mail with instructions on how to use our secure server, fax us or call our reservations department (the choice is yours) to supply your credit card information. If you’re in a real hurry, simply request the quotation as above and then submit your credit card details via our secure server clicking below

    Most of our customers prefer to pay on arrival* at the Europa Rentacar desk. On arrival you may pay using any major credit or debit card (cash, switch cards and solo cards are NOT accepted). All charges paid locally are made in Euros and there are no handling charges for credit card acceptance. To proceed with your reservation in direct payment, simply return the quote to us by email and indicate that you’d like to pay on arrival. We’ll confirm your reservation by return.

    *-We’re able to organise reservations for payment on arrival when requested in nearly 99% of all cases. Very occasionally we may have to insist on prepayment in cases where the vehicle type is under heavy demand or is a prestige vehicle; other reasons might be due a very late/early arrival time. If this is the case, your DRIVESPAIN reservations agent will advise you when confirming your reservation.

Collection of your car is from the arrivals hall at Torremolinos or Malaga Airport. Europa Rentacar’s desk is located inside the arrivals area.

Once you’ve completed check-in, you simply walk out into the passenger car park immediately adjacent to the passenger terminal to collect your vehicle. There are no bus trips off the airport


On return to Torremolinos or Malaga Airport, follow the signs to the airport car parking. Immediately prior to the entrance to the car park you will see a sign indicating a special lane for returning rental vehicles shared by Europa Rentacar, Hertz, Avis etc. This lane takes you to the roof of the airport car park. Lock up the vehicle and deposit the keys in the Europa rooftop office secure box. That’s it! .. noone checks your car back in and you have no responsibility for damage to the vehicle.

All that’s left to do is walk into the check-in hall to catch your return flight!

    All our passenger cars are under 6 months old from registration and are delivered in optimum mechanical condition, completely cleaned and ready to go. People Carriers, Cabriolets and Prestige vehicles tend to be rented less frequently and may be retained on-fleet for up to 12 months but no longer and are always offered in impeccable condition.

Consider yourself covered! – in line with CARJET IBERIA’s corporate policy we apply no cancellation charges providing that we are notified at least 24 hours prior to the start of your holiday :


    One of our company’s “crusades” has been the elimination of customer cancellation charges imposed by many car rental brokers and companies. Since we sometimes incur charges for our customers “no show” at an airport, we simply ask that you let us know promptly by e-mail or telephone if for any reason you need to cancel your reservation. We always confirm cancellation promptly the same working day as receipt.


    If you’ve prepaid a reservation to us, we guarantee to process your refund the same day as we receive your request. Bear in mind that depending on the age of the electronic payment transaction it may take up to 4 weeks for the funds to clear on your credit card statement. For prepaid reservations there are no administration charges – you simply get a 100% refund.


    If you need to cancel a rental once you’ve already collected the vehicle you stand to lose money. The rentacar industry considers unused days as simply “lost” with no refund. This said, we have an excellent working relationship with all our suppliers.

    It is essential you contact us prior to returning the car ahead of schedule. If you do so, we will endeavour to recost the rental so you recover most, if not all, the unused portion. Please remember to contact us BEFORE returning the car, it’s no good once the car’s been checked back in.
